Congratulations to WAPNAP member Maureen Van Dinter

Maureen C. Van Dinter was awarded the 2004 Loretta C. Ford Distinguished Fellow Award by the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) at their national conference in Dallas. This award recognizes a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) who has contributed to the expansion or improvement of pediatric health care and the advancement of the profession of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners at the local, state and/or regional level.
Ms. Van Dinter, a PNP at Northeast Family Practice in Madison, is a respected community leader and advocate for children and families. Throughout her career she has worked tirelessly on behalf of families she serves as a clinician and on behalf of children and PNPs by working on policy and legislative issues. She is also a valued mentor and educator. In her community, Ms. Van Dinter served on the Waunakee School Board for nine years and is active in her local EMS. In 2002, Ms. Van Dinter served on the Medical Team for the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
Patients, colleagues, PNP students, family resident physicians, and community members admire Ms. Van Dinter for her amazing dedication to promoting children’s health care, her skill as a clinician, and her intellectual knowledge as a mentor and educator. Her accomplishments are exemplary of the highest standard of professionalism.
