The Wendy Cooper Gallery announces a new show: off the wall. . .where patterns come to life. The show features artists Michelle Grabner, Ariana Huggett, Nancy Mladenoff, and Yumi Janairo Roth. It opens September and runs through October 7. An artist’s reception will be held on Saturday, September 9 from 5-8 PM.
Wendy Cooper also announces the beginning of the Scott Fields’ duet Series at 8 PM on Friday, September 8. Composer guitarist Scott Fields and Argentine composer, saxophonist and clarinetist, Guillermo Gregorio, will perform compositions by each musician. It’s improvisational free jazz of a high order. Admission is $6.00.
On October and running until November 11 will be Objects Transformed featuring the works of Natasha Nicholson, Mark Lorenzi, Martha Glowacki, and Mary Alice Wimmer. Objects Transformed will run in conjunction with an Elvehjem Museum installation titled Cabinets of Curiosity with the same artists.
