RIVER RENDEVOUS: PEOPLE, PLACE & MUSIC
BENEFITING THE URBAN OPEN SPACE FOUNDATION
Mark your calendars for River Rendevous, the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra's Concert and Ice Cream Social in Tenney Park on August 12, 2000 (Rain date: August 13, 2000). Last year 1,000 neighbors gathered to picnic and listen to the Orchestra at Tenney Park. This year, the Urban Open Space Foundation needs the help of the Tenney-Lapham Neighborhood to make this year's concert a super success!
In addition to hosting the concert and ice cream social, the Urban Open Space Foundation is holding its first ever silent auction. The organization needs donations of antiques, collectibles & services valued at fifty dollars or more ($50.00) per item. Please check attics and garages for items someone else might like to purchase to benefit the Urban Open Space Foundation.
The Urban Open Space Foundation's goal is to raise funds for land protection, urban forestation and water resource.
Tenney Park and the Yahara River Parkway have, already benefited from the Urban Open Space along the waterway and in the park. This year, they need our help!
Please contact Susan Baumann-Duren, Parks Chair, (255-3625) for more information or for an opportunity to volunteer!
