Minutes
2/19/04
Present: Jim Zychowicz, Sal Calomino, Sandra Ward, Patrick McDonnell, Gay Davidson-Zielske, Ken Zielske, Joe Brogan, Gigi Holland, Richard Linster, David Waugh.
i. An
application for funding was submitted
ii. Those
who have already volunteered to work on the plan are Sal, Jim, Susan Bauman
Duran, and Diane Brusoe.
iii. Pat
McDonnell volunteered to join.
iv. Gay
asked whether art on the TLNA garage by the locks would be appropriate to
submit as part of the plan. She
will pursue this idea and come back with more information.
i. Jim
met with the Mayor to discuss this issue
ii. Mayor
balked at codifying a process for input
iii. Brenda
said the Planning Commission is working to improve the process of neighborhood
input into city activities.
i. Meeting
the first week in March to discuss down-zoning
ii. 1
Sherman Terrace development to be discussed at next meeting
i. Meeting
next week (2/25) at 4:30 for idea sharing
ii. Ken
suggested an article for the newsletter & Pat suggested using the vision
piece
iii. Richard
suggested a stand-alone pullout could be used as a flyer
iv. Brenda
suggested a need for grass roots effort to assure that properties are sold to
owner occupiers rather than developers
v. Gigi
said code enforcement is a way to work toward owner occupancy
i. Pancake supper April 22 [Note that at 3/18 meeting this was changed to April 27.]
