Partners In Prevention
is a federally funded (Center
for
Substance Abuse Prevention), county-wide
initiative to prevent drug,
alcohol,
and tobacco abuse (ATODA). Dane County Communities have joined
in
partnership
with communities as well as government, social service agencies,
law
enforcement, education, and business to help prevent substance abuse
and
encourage healthy lifestyles.
In communities, Partners In Prevention is using a community
development/community organizing model to mobilize the community for
ATODA
prevention. This model helps reflect the unique resources and skills of
a
community, and supports community efforts to meet that community's
needs.
Is your community interested in organizing efforts around ATODA
prevention?
