Construction begins on East Washington Ave. on March 15.
The January minutes were approved as they stand. The February minutes were
approved with corrections.
Bob Sommerfeldt gave a brief description of the upcoming reconstruction of the avenue. Some detail was given on the schedule of events as seen by the contractor at this time. Updates are to be posted at the city web site. It looks like a dusty summer for us.
We had passed changes to our bylaws a couple of years ago. The changes were never made. The minutes with the wording were lost. Bob Sommerfeldt submitted a proposed wording to get these changes made. There was some discussion about the clarity of the wording, but no alternate wording was proposed. The wording was approved as submitted.
Lisa McGinnis suggested sending the notices to more people. She knows of perhaps
three individuals who might come if they were sent notices. Lee Christensen
asked her to email the names to him and he will add them to the list. There
was some suggestions to hand deliver notices to all addresses in our
neighborhood when the weather was more accommodating. Mark Schlei suggested
we keep working at increasing our membership and
developing more items for our agendas.
Mark Schlei led some discussion on his request to ask Brenda Konkel to reduce the political slant she uses in her messages to the OMPNA list. No agreement was reached or motions made on the issue.
