Minutes of the Old Market Place Neighborhood Association
Members: Lee Christensen, Lisa McGinnis, Pat Brenz, Bob Sommerfeldt, and Jim Roper.
We have a new county representative, who we have not met, Beth Gross.
The March minutes were approved with corrections. City of Madison Comprehensive plan discussion. Lee Christensen led us in one of the exercises given us to do as part of the process of submitting our ideas to the city for its comprehensive plan. We did the "Growth Discussion". There are 5 more parts to the procedure and each takes about an hour. We only had time to finish one. Lee said he would look into some other way to get this done without having to attend the city meetings. Lee plans on having us do one more exercise at the next meeting. During the process of this exercise we were interrupted several times by people going through our meeting to get to the gym. These interruptions lead to a discussion of moving the meeting to other places. Sites mentioned were The Collins House, The Butler Café, the Company of Thieves café and Yahara House. It was decided to move the next meeting to Butler Café.
