The city council made changes to the phase one portion of the East Washington Avenue Reconstruction. They have put colored concrete crosswalks back into the plan along with bump outs at intersections. Existing overhead power lines will also be buried as part of the project.
Rick McKy’s project has passed Urban Design and is now okay-ed to build.
The city has resubmitted our application for matching grant money to the State Historic Society. Lee Christensen also sent our application into the city. This is for funds to do a Neighborhood Plan for Blair Street to the Square part of our neighborhood.
A short discussion was held on moving the meeting to a time when our Alder could attend our meetings. Brenda Konkel told Lee Christensen the first or second Thursday of the month would work for her. Bob Sommerfeldt mentioned the first Thursday might run into more conflicts with holidays. After some discussion a motion was made and seconded to change our meeting date to the second Thursday of the month. The motion passed unanimously. Lee Christensen then asked if we would like to skip the October meeting, as it would only be 2 weeks till the meeting date. A motion was made to do so, seconded and passed unanimously.
