Curriculum Connection: Math
Lowell Elementary School
Madison, Wisconsin

Goal: To create functional robots designed with geometric shapes.
Students used Logowriter software to learn how to create perfect squares and rectangles.
Once they
had a knowledge of how to accomplish these procedures, they created Logowriter robots
using the shapes.
Next, students created working robots that would make life easier
for people. They then used Kid Pix software to enhance their robots

This Robot Project was created by 4th and 5th graders in the fall of 1995, in Lori Vogel's REACH Program at Lowell Elementary,
