Candidates’ Answers
Representative to State Assembly ADDITIONAL INFORMATION |
Candidates' AnswersCandidate information has been compiled by the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin from a Fall 2008 Government Ethics Voter Guide Questionnaire, prepared by the LWVWI Education Fund, Common Cause in Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, and sent to all state-level candidates. The League of Women Voters of Dane County prints office-description text, question #7 of the Ethnics Questionnaire, and responses to that question, as received from the state League. The League of Women Voters of Dane County thanks these groups for sharing the information concerning state-level candidates. [Note: For questions #1-6 of the Ethics Questionnaire, and their corresponding answers, please visit the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin.] The League of Women Voters of Dane County makes neither endorsements of candidates nor recommendations about candidates. Candidates' replies are printed verbatim. All candidates were asked to provide a photo; all photos received were used. Candidates were given a 100-word limit for each question. If the 100th word appears in a particular sentence, that sentence is generally left complete. Text beyond such consideration, however, is cut and the response is marked [Word Limit]. The designation "No Reply" is used when candidates do not submit a response or when they do not respond to a particular question. The designation "Refused to Answer" refers to a candidate's stated policy not to answer questionnaires. Permission to copy and distribute this on-line publication is granted, provided that no candidate's answers are altered in any way, that equal treatment is afforded all candidates for a given office, and that credit is given to the League of Women Voters of Dane County. This online primary edition of Candidates' Answers is produced thanks to the work of League members and staff as well as information from the county clerk, city clerks, and the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board, Elections Division. To support educational programs such as Candidates' Answers, you may contribute to the League of Women Voters of Dane County.
