The Wireless Research Centre offers a unique program to students who are enrolled in Bachelor of Engineering with Honours or Bachelor of Science with Honours program. The students are allowed to take up Wireless Research at the Wireless Research Centre upon reaching their final year.
For students who are taking up Bachelor of Engineering, you can begin doing your final year project at the Wireless Research Centre during your Third Professional Year.
In line with this, you have to choose your courses wisely and so make sure to coordinate with the Director of Studies of your program.
We accept students from the different fields of Engineering such as, but not limited to the following:
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Software Engineering
For students who are taking up Bachelor of Science with Honours program, most of our accepted students come from Computer Science and Software Engineering program.
Students enrolled in these programs have an advantage as these courses are closely intertwined with the areas of interest of our research. This is to ensure that the students will be able to apply what they have learned from the textbooks.
With this program, the student will be exposed to different challenges and to simulations of real-life situations that happen in the professional world.
They will be placed in an environment where they are guided by advisers in order to train them to perform research on a professional level. They will be given tips and pieces of advice to equip them with the necessary tools to have a successful career in wireless research.
