We provide the following services:
- Short-term Counseling: for survivors of recent
or past sexual assaults, their families, friends, or lovers.
- Telephone Crisis Line: a place to call for support,
information, counseling, and referral 24 hours a day.
- Support Groups: for survivors of sexual assault,
for survivors of incest, for teen survivors, and for significant others
of survivors.
- Legal and Medical Advocacy: for any individual(s)
wanting an advocate with legal expertise to accompany them through police
investigations, medical procedures, and the criminal and juvenile justice
systems. Available 24 hours a day. We also provide sexual harassment-related
school and workplace advocacy.
Our services are confidential, and our counselors and advocates are sensitive
to gay/lesbian and minority issues.

(detectives) who are trained to handle sexual assault investigations in
a sensitive manner and can provide information and assistance upon request.

Victim/Witness Unit: This unit of the District
Attorney's office has Sensitive Crime Specialists who provide orientation
to the legal system, case status, information, notification of court hearings,
preparation for testifying in court, accompaniment to court, and referral
to treatment resources. |
