The calendar below is a list of lots of the big annual cross-state tours-- plus a few multi-day tours that don't actually cross a state. (A comprehensive list of all events is here; a list of local, single-day touring events is here).
Another good place to shop for this sort of event is the magazine American Bicyclist, which is published by the League of American Bicyclists. Another is Sierra Club Outings. They can be contacted via email: national.outings@sierraclub.org. National Bicycle Tour Directors Association has a really nice list of rides. And, there is a big searchable archive of rides at The World-Wide Bicycle Tour Directory, or from the National Bicycle Tour Director's Association.

The tour is a small, friendly and scenic excursions along the
beautiful back roads of central and eastern Wisconsin.
This year's tour goes from Wautoma to Washburn.
The Northwoods to Capitol Tour is celebrating it's 5th birthday! If you like cycling on world class country roads, personal service, great scenery, friendly people, up to nine days filled with fun, then this is the tour for you! In the past years, riders on the Northwoods have raised over $25,000 for the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin. This year's rider limit is 390 riders. A great small tour with lots of hugs and smiles!

A five-day, four-night tour of the nation's longest developed rail-trail, Katy Trail State Park. This year s ride will average 45 miles per day and will travel west to east starting in Clinton, Missouri and ending
in St. Charles, Missouri.
Full tour riders receive breakfast and dinner daily, outdoor camping space each night, portable hot shower facilities daily, gear shuttle, a detailed route map, SAG support, and a ride t-shirt and water bottle. For an additional fee, advance and return transportation is provided, as well as daily hotel shuttles. The ride is limited to 300 full tour riders. Day ride packages are also available.

A fully supported, pledged 500-mile bicycle ride benefiting
Habitat for Humanity a non-profit org. dedicated to building
homes and creating home ownership opportunities for
low-income families. In past years, riders have ranged in
age from 15-82, and have come from 25 different states and
several countries. This years ride tours NE Minnesota,
beginning and ending in the City of Duluth on the shores of
Lake Superior. Over 97% of money raised is used to build
houses. Riders can designate up to 3 affiliates or countries
to benefit from monies raised.

The MS 150 Best Dam Bike Tour August 2-3, 2003 The MS 150
Best Dam Bike Tour is a fully catered, one or two-day,
150-mile bike ride for multiple sclerosis (MS). Cyclists
start in Waukesha, rejuvenate overnight in Whitewater and
cross the finish line in Madison. The MS 150 offers
overnight accommodations throughout the weekend, along with
qualified medical staff and bicycle mechanics. Other
highlights include bicycle and luggage transportation, fully
stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles and entertainment.

of riders
